Owners advised to check handguard retaining bolts - 10,800 units could be affected worldwide

BMW R1200GS owners have been warned about a possible problem with the machine that could leave the handguards pressing on the front brake lever.
Owners have been told to check that the thread on the bolt that holds the guards in place is tightened properly.

According to the reports, the handguard could slip down and press on the brake lever and as many as 10,800 motorcycles around the world could be affected
