Elke dinsdag, april tot sept, bikermeeting Zuid Engeland

Voor diegenen die er eens voor een paar dagen tss uit willen en de motorsfeer opsnuiven:

Elke dinsdag, van april tot september, grote bikermeeting aan de mooie stranden van Zuid Engeland, in het stadje Poole.
En als je er dan toch bent , kan je op ongeveer 80 km richting binnenland evt ook "Stonehenge" bezoeken.

Condor Ferries Dream Machines

Each week from April - September at 6pm, Condor Ferries Dream Machines will be held on Poole Quay. Up to 1,000 bikers come to meet friends, compare bikes and have the opportunity of winning the popular Bike of the Night competition. This crowd pulling event is supported by locals and visitors alike whether arriving by bike or not.

Condor Ferries Dream Machines is a self funding event and after all costs for organisational and promotional costs have been made, surpluses are then donated to good causes. Donations for the 2006 season will be going to the Dorset Freewheelers EVS and amounts will be announced shortly.

Dream Machines 2 - Harbourside Park - The event became so successful throughout the 2004 season that the number of motorcycles attending most Tuesdays, regularly exceeded spaces available, and it became hard for Poole Tourism to manage conflicting views of residents and bikers. This led to Poole Tourism offering a second site located at Harbourside Park.

Bike of the Night -Each week a different judge be it a bike racing personality, a business friend/sponsor of Poole Tourism or a marshal will choose a bike to win the Bike of the Night Competition. There are no rules - it is whatever they like the look of - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! The winner will receive a Condor Ferries cross-channel ferry crossing for a bike and 2 persons.

Poole hebben reeds enkele keren bezocht, toen we in Brockenhurst logeerden. Maar nog nooit op dinsdagavond.
Hopelijk lukt het één van de volgende keren.
Dergelijke adressen waar veel motorrijders samenkomen vind je verspreid terug in de UK. Oa gezien in Wales en Schotland.

Ben daar in 2005 geweest; entréé 1 pond, maar zeker de moeite!

Normaal in september terug naar ginder voor enkele dagen, maar nog geen idee welke dagen.

ik denk er in augustus eens heen te rijden. en dan passeer ik in één keer ook effe langs "stonehenge". ligt er maar een 80 km vanaf. kwestie van daar ook eens geweest te zijn hé.
