Have none of you heard of Vision One? I am not joking when I tell you
that The European Union is actively seeking to ban motorcycles
completely. I am not exaggerating or trying to be alarmist. This idea
was first put forward some time ago by a Swedish Euro Commissioner,
and as usual, is now silently, and secretly set in stone as a policy.
Vision One states that "It is unethical that there are deaths and
injuries on the road transport system." and seeks to engineer them
out. It has been adopted in some European companies already, despite
the fact that its opening statement (above) is fundamentally flawed,
going against the Human Rights legislation, as it proposes an
unnecessary and unwarranted intrusion into our private lives. That
will not stop the Euro weasels who work for Brussels bureacracy
determinedly seeking to stop us riding. I suggest, even beg you to
get onto your MP and MEP now. Get this policy acknowledged as
unacceptable under Human Rights. We know the risks of riding, and
interfere less in other people's lives than almost any other form of
tansport. If you don't fight NOW we will lose biking.
