Installation instructions

• To start download, click on the download link and open the WinZip archive.
• Extract the archive contents to the desired directory on your PC.
• Connect your Navigator I to a free serial port (COM 1, 2, 3, or 4) on your PC with the PC interface cable.
• Turn on your Navigator I and ensure the Serial Data Format is set to "GARMIN". You can find this setting in the PC's main menu under "System Setup".
• Change to the directory in which you unzipped the files, (i.e., C:GARMIN), and run the update program 'BMW_Dealer_DB_EUR_Updater_Nav.bat'. Select the appropriate serial port and click "OK" to begin the upload.

Navigator II
Installation instructions

• To start download, click on the download link and open the WinZip archive.
• Extract the archive contents to the desired directory on your PC.
• Connect your Navigator II or II Plus to an open USB port on your computer. Turn the Navigator on.
• If your computer asks for a driver, please see the software and installation instructions that came on CD-ROM with your device, or download and install the USB driver from Garmin's website at http://www.garmin.com.
• Open the folder where you un-zipped the files, locate the file named 'BMW_Dealer_DB_EUR_Updater_Nav_II.bat' and double-click it.
• You should see the name of your GPS device next to the 'USB Device' option on the Updater program window. Select the 'USB Device' option, then click on 'OK' on the Updater program window to start the data transfer.

The Navigator II Plus is already provided with this version of the Dealer Database, an update is not necessary.
