I almost bought a BMW R1150 Adventure, but the oil seal on the transmission failed on the test ride. I lost confidence in Beemers and bought a V-Strom. It's lighter, quicker, much cheaper, and has a proven bulletproof engine. I think the BMW is the better off- roader but how many off-road miles do all those BMW riders actually do?

Finally a video that shows the superiority of a V-Strom over a BMW 1150GS. The V-Strom is less than half the money, goes anywhere the 1150GS can go and never breaks down. I do like the yellow color of the Beemer....almost a nice looking as my 2003 V-Strom 1000 Bumble Bee
