Het motorblok draait nu rustiger/stiller. Sindsdien heeft hij wel een vervelend probleem, namelijk, dat bij een koude start de motor
niet stationair wil blijven lopen. De eerste 30 to 60 seconden loopt hij stationair maar daarna slaat hij steeds af wanneer je het gas los laat.
Pas na 7 to 10 minuten, wanneer de motor flink is opgewarmd, zijn deze verschijnselen over. Voor de revisie had ik dit probleem niet.
Na zo'n 2500 Km verdwijnt dit langzaam, na zo'n 8 a 10 duizend Km is het zo goed als weg. Echter, dan is het weer tijd voor de beurt
en nadat de kleppen opnieuw gesteld zijn is het probleem weer terug. Het lijkt er op dat een beetje meer klepspeling goed is voor
het stationair lopen en bij lage toerentallen.

My R1100RS would not idle for several minutes on cold mornings until I increased valve lash. Increasing valve lash FIXED the problem, and I've lost no discernable top-end power. Increased valve lash is equivalent to closing the valves sooner--"milding" the cam timing.
Set the valves COLD from/to:
Intake: Spec: .006" to: .012"
Exhaust: Spec: .012" to: .014"
Your idle will be MUCH smoother and throttle response immediate but controllable. Increase in valve noise is minimal. Valves will run cooler.
