BMW Letter of Compliance

Hi Guys,

I recently relocated from South Africa to Brussels, and brought my BMW R1150GS with me. I am having some problems with the registration of the motorcycle and I am currently trying to obtain a letter of copliance that indicates that the motorcycle coplies to EU standards. The first registration of the Motorcycle was in Italy so there should not be a problem to obtain this letter. I had to get the same document for the bike when I moved from Ghana to South Africa and the BMW dealer in South Africa had no problem in supplying this document free of charge. If any of you guys on here is friendly with someone who works for BMW Belgium who would be able to provide this letter it would be greatly appreciated.

I have been informed by the person who is assiting me with the registration that if I am not able to obtain this letter from BMW Belgium that it would cost about €700 to obtain a "isolated title" from the ministry.

Any help with this document of advice on getting the registration done without having to pay too much would be appreciated.
