Changes made from version 6.8 to 6.9.1:

* Changed to merge data received from a GPS into the current document.
* Added several map POI icons, including summit, landmark, arena/track, sports/fitness center, city hall, dealer/auto parts, and bowling center.
* Added the ability to view the data contained in the current document in Google Earth, if it is installed.
* Added support for importing LOC files.
* Added the product restrictions dialog, which is shown when you open a map product that has limitations imposed by license restrictions with the map data vendor.
* Improved error reporting during communication with PocketPC devices.
* Changed the Route Preferences page to use a simpler road-selection preference.
* Changed to not show detailed map outlines when viewing areas that are not installed (in a partial install).
* Changed to notify the user what invalid data is received from a GPS, so that the user can correct or remove this data on the GPS.
* Changed the SI unit for speed from “kph” to “km/h”.
* Changed the splash window (shown at program startup) to be displayed on the same monitor that the program will be displayed on, in multi-monitor configurations.
* Changed the product info dialog to be resizable.
* Changed contour lines with no elevation data to display the string “Contour Line” instead of “Invalid Elevation”.
* Fixed an issue where a user’s data selection on the map was not visible in the user data list.
* Fixed an issue with a track segment selection being displayed after the track dialog was dismissed.
* Fixed issue with removing the last track point in the Track dialog.
* Fixed an issue with driving directions for routes that take a series of unnamed roads.
* Fixed an issue with certain key-stroke combinations in the track dialog.
* Fixed an issue with selecting the wrong track segment on the map when many track segments are close together.
* Fixed an issue where a selected track point was obscured by the scroll bar in the track dialog.
* Fixed a drawing artifact that could be caused when displaying a context menu over user data.
* Fixed an issue where addresses in multi-language products where not found when city names were in certain languages.
* Fixed an issue with creating a waypoint on certain map features when the map’s language is not the same as the computer’s language setting.
* Fixed issue with the UTC offset not being remembered properly in the Tide Prediction Dialog.
* Fixed issue with parking and rest-area labels not showing up properly in some NT maps.
* Fixed an issue exporting a GPX file that contained a waypoint with custom symbol 31.
* Fixed an issue with sending NT maps to Palm devices.
* Fixed 'Find Places' dialog to correctly handle states that occur in multiple countries.
* Fixed an issue with the waypoint symbol not being updated on the map when it was changed back to the original symbol in the waypoint dialog.
* Fixed an issue with the duplicate street names being shown in popup windows.

Hallo,

die nieuwe versie is zowaar in 't nederlands en een aantal fouten zijn er uit zoals extra lange reistijden bij bvb een route van deerlijk naar bxl

Mijn mapsource is reeds aangepast

Nu heb ik eens een route bekeken via Google earth, maar ik krijg alleen maar een recht lijn te zien van punt A naar punt B.
Ik dacht dat je de route over de weg zou zien. , doe ik hier iets niet juist of zo

De routes worden van punt naar punt getoond. Als je de wegen wil volgen in Google Earth zal je een track moeten nemen om te tonen.
Dat werkt wel.

Of hééél vééél tussenpunten in je route zetten en dan bekijken in Earth

Inderdaad, routes zijn rechte lijnen van punt naar punt.

Omdat in tracks veel meer punten zitten is het resultaat in Google Earth veel mooier.

een nieuwe route aanmaken met routetool

op waypointklikken (bvb start of einde van route, routewaypoint wel te verstaan), waypointeigenschappen
dan krijg ik steeds opnieuw dit:

Hey jongens,
Ingesloten een stuk tekst uit de nieuwsbrief die ik kreeg uit Notter ivm de mogelijkheid om virtueel over een track te vliegen.

- laad een route of track, liefst in een gebied met detaildekking
- zoek in de linkerkolom ' GPS-device' ; open de ' mapjes' die je ziet tot je er een met ' path' ziet, selecteer die, druk op ' play' en laat je verrassen.

Met deze werkwijze zou je in Google Earth "over de track vliegen". Bij mij lukt dit niet.
Snap niet goed wat ze bedoelen met " open de ' mapjes' die je ziet tot je er een met ' path' ziet, selecteer die, druk op ' play'

Wie kan mij wat extra uitleg geven? Ik zie nml. geen "path"

Stally, je mag me hier over opbellen, ik maak je wegwijs via de telefoon, dan is het zeer eenvoudig. Via de mail is het nogal omslachtig. Maar niet tijdens Flikken als je wil
Best 's avonds. Zorg dat je pc aanstaat, bestand openen met track er in
internetverbinding open.

Hi,
Op het forum van Notter wordt het probleem 'aanmaken van een nieuwe route met route tool' natuurlijk ook besproken. Nu blijkt dat de fout zich voordoet in de nederlandstalige versie en niet in de engelstalige.

Hans Vaessen Notter GPS specialist schreef:

Ik wilde al gaan zeggen 'taalafhankelijk lijkt me erg onwaarschijnlijk' maar dacht; ach, laat ik het ff proberen (is heel snel te doen; gewoon de 6.9.1. updater opnieuw draaien en een andere taal kiezen..)

En donders!! Inderdaad: in het engels heeft ie deze bug niet! Dat verklaart ook (een beetje) de reactie van Garmin...

Hopelijk komt Garmin nu snel met een update.

Net een programma ontdekt op het GPS forum, om de tekst binnen de mapsourcesoftware te veranderen, wel leuk om te doen; Gewoon de handeling perfect opvolgen en je komt tot het volgende resultaat!

Weg met die skandinavische taalkronkels en nog meer fraais in de nieuwste versie (sinds 17 maart): Mapsource 6.10.2.
